Register for RightsCon Continues Summit

RightsCon Continues is an thematic event that will take place online through the RightsCon Summit Platform running a non-stop program for 24 hours starting on Tuesday, September 22 to Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

The RightsCon Summit Platform, which we have used since 2020, will host the full online program schedule, and will provide access to programming options with features that enable networking between participants including one-on-one and group chats, and social spaces for connecting.

You can register for the online event on the RightsCon Summit Platform, where the full online programme will be hosted. You’ll need to create an account (or sign-in if you joined us in previous editions) and fill out our form to finalize your registration.

Yes, an accessible Pay-What-You Can ticket option is available to all participants. You can participate for free or contribute any amount that feels right to you. 

As a nonprofit, every contribution helps us continue creating spaces for the digital rights community to connect and strategize together. If you’re able to contribute, we’re deeply grateful. If not, simply enter “0” to join the Summit at no cost.

In an effort to facilitate a safe and productive summit environment, registration will close just before the event begins, on September 21, 2026.

The RightsCon Summit Platform will open for registered participants on September 7, 2026, two weeks before the summit kicks-off. Registered participants will be able to access the platform by logging into their account, where they will be able to create a public profile, and build their own personal agenda for the sessions they wish to participate in. 

Yes, the registration process for the online event is separate. In order to gain access to the Summit Platform and to participate, you will need to register for the RightsCon Continues Summit here. 

We know plans change and if you are unable to participate at RightsCon, and you contributed an amount towards the summit, you can request a full refund up to the day before the event starts. To request a refund, please get in touch with our team at [email protected].

RightsCon ticket purchases are processed through Stripe. Once refunds are issued, you will receive a notification from Stripe that it has been processed. It may take approximately 5-10 business days for the funds to reach your bank account, depending upon the bank.

Please note that refunds can be sent back only to the original payment method used when the ticket was purchased. It’s not possible to send a refund to a different destination (e.g., another card or bank account).

There will be virtual psychosocial support available to participants, provided by the Vita-Activa.org helpline.

Vita-Activa.org, is a helpline for journalists, activists and human rights defenders, women and LGBTQI+ folks who face violence, stress, anxiety, burnout, trauma and pain. They provide services in Spanish, English, Portuguese and Arabic.

As with past years, the core principles and policies governing RightsCon, such as our Code of Conduct and our Participation & Privacy Policy, remain in place. By registering, participants agree to read through and abide by these policies.

When registering, you will be asked to share your first and last name. Participants are welcome to use a pseudonym when registering and on their profile on our Summit Platform. If utilizing an alternative ID, please uphold the following requirements: 

• We ask that you choose a name that will not raise any flags or concerns that might see access to the platform rejected. 
• We ask those who wish to register under a pseudonym to reach out to us at [email protected] in order to ensure consistency and confidence with who is joining the RightsCon ecosystem.
• We ask those that are session organizers and wish to use a pseudonym to contact [email protected] so that the RightsCon team can ensure that they are able to gain appropriate access.
